This awarded Oak Honey is one of the very rare honeys, produced from the honeydew of the oak tree.
Deeply sweet with malty notes & a dark amber colour. A monovarietal honey, harvested at the end of July. The The bees feed on Greek oak trees give this honey its robust character & a deep, dark colour that resembles molasses.
It has a complex taste and is less sweet compared to nectar honeys while it tends not to crystallise.
It is rich in antioxidants and contains large amounts of potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, iron and sodium. and helps in gastric disorders, flu, exhaustion.
It is characterized as a honey of exceptional high nutritional value.
