3) MALOTIRA (CRETE)
Malotira is also known in Greece as mountain tea, even though it has no relation to tea itself. It is made of the leaves and flowers of the plant Sideritis (also known as ironwort). The name in Greek also means iron and in ancient Greece it was used as a cure for traumas from iron objects. Young soldiers used to drink it before battles, to increase their strength. The word malotira is of Italian origin, from the period where Crete was under Venetian rule. It means to extract a bad thing, which shows how well known this plant has been for its valuable properties.

Naturally flavored olive oil with Thyme. A perfect combination that is ideal for salads, pies, pizza, spaghetti. Among other things, thyme is a good diuretic, bactericidal and expectorant. In Ancient Greece it was used in baths, it was burnt as an incense in temples and as a therapy for various conditions.
