Lion D’OR Cabernet Sauvignon – Dry Red Wine
Its name refers to a great, noble product. The Lion D’ Or family is produced at the Mackedon Winery at Platanotopos, Kavala. It is a single-variety wine with screw cap and “lively” appearance.
For Lion D’Or red wine we chose the international variety Cabernet Sauvignon. Its cultivation on the foothills of Mount Pangeon has offered very good results.
Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon 100%
Vinification Techniques: Classic red wine vinification, combined with micro-oxygenation. It matures in stainless steel tank with oak chips.
Tasting Notes: Deep red color with blue highlights. Aromas of red fruit, smoke and black pepper. Balance in the mouth with medium acidity and round, soft tannins.
Aging: Will respond to aging for up to 5-6 years after harvest.
Perfect Pairing: Served at 16-18°C, an excellent match for pasta with meat, red meat with delicate sauces, mature soft cheese.
